Martial Arts Social Media Marketing
 

When Greg, the owner of Kim’s Hapkido Yucaipa approached me with a proposal to create a brand video for his chapter I was intrigued as our team has never done anything for the martial arts industry before. Up for the challenge we began to get to work. This video marketing campaign was created with our three phase formula. We drew up an analyzed vision of what Greg wanted his video message to be. Inviting, epic and fun were the three words that continued to come up throughout the conversation in our pre-production meetings. What’s interesting is that the intro to the Hapkido brand video wasn’t the initial intro in the storyboard, but worked better as a hook. When filming we decided to take a couple extra takes of the sparring session and film it with the intent of showing his expertise of the epic martial arts. To our surprise it was a hit with over 10,000 views in the first day and an increase in traffic to the business.

Our clients' intentions are always to grow their business, but with a little bit of help and trust in our creative direction we can craft something with the results greater than what they expected. Our process with Greg and his Hapkido studio was simple - starting with a brand video, we then moved into a social media video campaign  to stay at top of mind of those who already watched the video. Target marketing is a great way to niche down who you are specifically talking to and continually trying to convert them into repeating customers. Creating a series of videos for the Hapkido studio we focused on continuing to wow the customer with inviting humor for a family friendly environment that also led to an epic understanding of a deep martial art. The studio has two primary peak seasons which really mattered to Greg, so we focused on what type of content would be appropriate for those upcoming seasons and created those videos according to that, all the while remaining within the branding guidelines. 

With much success and continued business, Kim Hapkido Yucaipa has continued to flourish under Greg's expertise, leadership and desire to serve his customers well.
